Settings - Vistameet App

Through the Settings, you can customize the Vistameet Application to your needs. Since this menu is accessed through different ways, we will only go through the respective menu items once and refer to them in the corresponding chapters.

In the menu item "General", you can edit your profile (profile picture, presence status, language setting, spell check). If no profile picture is set yet, the first letter of the display name is set as the profile picture.

Profile

The "Profile" area allows you to set a profile picture.

Upload | Change Profile Picture

To set your own profile picture or modify it, click on the pen icon and select the image storage path on your device in the subsequent window.

The image is uploaded and set as a profile picture. It is not possible to edit it further (e.g., change color or similar).

Remove Profile Picture

To remove your profile picture, click on the "Remove" link.

The profile picture is deleted. You can set a new profile picture via the pen icon. If you don't want to set a new image, the first letter of your first name will be displayed again.

Language and Region

Under "Language and Region", you can change the language of the Vistameet Application. In the drop-down list, you can choose between German and English.

When you switch the language, the application loads the new language interface and the settings menu closes.

Spell Check

By setting the spell check, words with typing errors will be displayed with a red underline, giving you feedback that this word is not spelled correctly.

  • You can activate/deactivate the spell check by setting the switch
  • By default, the spell check (for the German language) is turned on and active
  • Via the dropdown menu, you can select additional languages for spell check
  • If you change your language to English, you may need to set the spell check for this language separately

Presence

Under the "Presence" area, you can select which presence state you currently want to have for other users.

In the lower right area of a user's profile picture/icon, a circle is displayed that reflects the currently selected state in color.

  • Both the status "Busy" and "In a call" are symbolized with a light red circle
  • If you are logged in on multiple devices, the status you last set will be displayed on all devices

In the "Appearance" menu, you will find extended options to customize the appearance in terms of design, contrast, layout, and font size to your preferences.

Design

Here you can choose the design of the application, adapt it to your system design (Windows design), and activate/deactivate the high contrast mode.

Design Options
  • The option "Use high contrast" is only available and selectable in the "Light" design
  • If you select the option "Adapt to system design", the other options are grayed out
