Outlook Add-In Overview

You can create a meeting with online meeting in your calendar, send it to your colleagues, and invite them to it.

The Add-In is intended for Outlook version 2021, Office365, and the web version of Outlook.

Download and installation of the Add-in

Vistameet extensions for Outlook are available as a Plug-in and as an Add-in for Office 365. Vistameet recommends installing the Vistameet Add-in. With the Add-in for Outlook, you can quickly add Vistameet meetings to new and existing appointments. Assistants also have the option of scheduling meetings for others and sending invitations.

/!\ Note: The installation for the Outlook Add-in requires a Microsoft Exchange server or Office365.

  • Option 1: The administrator installs the Add-in for all users

  • Option 2: Install Vistameet for Outlook Web yourself

Alternatively, you can install the extension yourself for your own use. Download Vistameet for Outlook from the Microsoft Store and follow the installation instructions.

  • Option 3: Install Vistameet Add-in for the Outlook 2021 desktop app

If you use Outlook with a Microsoft Exchange account, click on 'File > Manage Add-ins'. Select the official Microsoft Store as the source. Search for 'Vistameet for Outlook' and click on 'Get it now'.

2. Sign in

As a secure video conferencing platform, Vistameet offers the option of operating the solution as a company-owned host or even from a company-owned data center. Therefore, a one-time login to this host is required to use the Outlook Add-in.

To set up the login for your client:

  • Open the calendar in Outlook Web
  • Click on a meeting you have created
  • Click on 'Vistameet' Logo in the Toolbar and select 'Settings'.

3. Scheduling a meeting in Outlook

To schedule a new meeting, switch to the calendar view in the Outlook Client

  • Click on 'New Meeting' in the Home tab
  • Enter the details and click on Add a 'Vistameet Meeting' in the Meeting tab.
  • Adjust the settings according to your requirements

Schedule Vistameet meetings for others To enable assistants to schedule meetings for their manager, managers and assistants must have the Add-in for Outlook installed. The manager or administrator carries out the following steps:

  1. Log in to the profile under us/sign in
  2. Select 'Settings', scroll to 'Schedule Privilege' and click 'Add'
  3. Now enter the e-mail address of the authorized person and confirm by clicking on 'Assign'
  4. The assistant should be able to select the manager's calendar under 'My calendars' The assistant now schedules Vistameet meetings and configures them.
